Reverend visits Casey in jail
The Rev. Shane Stutzman has been visiting with Casey Anthony in jail since she was arrested for the first time in
July. He’s been providing her with support and prayer and has been allowed to meet with her once a month. He’s the only person besides her defense team who has visited her since her arrest on murder charges. The Eastside Baptist Church pastor (where the Anthonys have been having their prayer vigils.) said that the jail asked that he visit Casey Anthony on Tuesday. That was the first day she’d been taken off psychological evaluation after officials said she suffered a meltdown the day they found the remains of a child near her home.
WESH-TV asked if they discussed the recent findings. “We didn’t go into that a whole lot. That’s not my role. That’s Jose Baez’s role. This whole thing is unwinding a little bit at a time. I know, as a pastor, I’m going to be there to help them no matter what.” he said. Rev. Stutzman said that Casey remains hopeful despite the murder charge and word on Tuesday that investigators found more bones at the crime scene.
Is that hopeful that it isn’t her daughter or hopeful that they don’t discover evidence that would points a finger at her? I’m sorry. I have no sympathy for this one. I’ll leave that one to God.

When it comes to the words that come out of Casey’s mouth…One can only try to guess what she is trying to say…probably that she is hopeful that the bones are not Caylee…thus she still may be alive…Even though she knows that it is Caylee.
I agree…when it comes to sympathy for Casey…I think it is best left to the one she cannot lie to…. God.
She’s hopeful that they don’t find anything.
You know what Monica111466, you are exactly right. No matter how much Casey lies to us, her parents, friends, whomever….God hears all of it and He knows the truth. What ever happens here on earth is one thing but what happens upstairs is another. It makes you really look at life in a way. We truly don’t know if God has forgiven her(as a christian this is what is believed), what she has done is the worst thing a human can do and it’s not good for her track record into Heaven but that will be decided by God. It makes me crazy when I start getting on a religious angle because is is right for us to hate her and condemn her if God has forgiven her?? I think as a person, she has to pay the price for what she’s done but she will have to deal with what awaits her in another lifetime. As for her freaking out about Caylee being found possibly, I think she is just worried that now she will definitely spend the rest of her life in prison. That’s why she’s freaking. I am sure it’s about her dilemma and not Caylee.
pak31–I agree with you that Casey’s true fate is in God’s hands. I do believe that if she ASKS for His forgiveness He will forgive her. I don’t believe God just automatically forgives someone. She has to go to Him, confess her sin, and ask for redemption. Of course none of us can know if she’s done that or if she will.
I, as a Christian, struggle as you have with trying to be forgiving. I know that’s what God says we should do. Unfortunately, he also says we are all sinners and unable to reach perfection. So, I suppose I will continue to struggle. I have, at this point in time, no sympathy whatsoever for Casey Anthony and believe she should suffer to the full extent of the law if she’s guilty.
IT IS IN NO WAY SHAPE WAY OR FORM about Caylee…It is about saving CASEY, HER OWN ASS…Because if it was about Caylee, Casey would have not killed Caylee and then put her in a garbage bag and threw her in the woods like garbage…Then go over her boyfreind Tony’s Apartment and have SEX and MAKE MACARRONI DINNER for her boyfreind Tony and his Roommate and then go BAR HOPPING ON A POLE AT FUSION LOUNGE and then go on a SHOPPING SPREE AT TARGET..And you know what people….She never had a meltdown or felt upset according to people and her Boyfriends, and Casey did not need a seditive and Showed 0 Emotion..She was a COLD HEARTED BITCH..Now all of a sudden, Casey is upset and needs a seditive, because she was worried about HERSELF CASEY, and hopes that police and scientists dont find enough evidence to convict her own Butt..A 5 year old kid could figure it out..It is like A B C…Just My Thoughts…
I dont know what Casey did to Cayleefor certain,other then the fact of the odvious,Caylee is no longer alive.I think if nothing else the duct tape (if finger prints were found,it will say who if the accused played a part in it.Which I believe Casey did it,but I will now wait for the results of this case and hopefully all these questions we have had will be answered.There could be more evidence other then the duct tape..Like what was found in the Anthony’s home that the authorities seem to think links to the crime scene.There is more that LE knows that we dont.But once the remains are given an ID we will know alot more then we do now,I believe.
I agree Mystery,God does forgive,if he knows in our hearts we are truely sorry…Cssey needs to turn to God.He is truely the only one that can save her.. I can’t and will not have any sympathy on any one that brings harm to any child.Its far the worst thing anyone could ever do..A normal person can’t comprehend it.I also hope if she is found guilty (which I believe she is)she pays to the full extent of what she has done.
This pastor better be careful. He could end up going down the obstruction route too. I believe Casey is going to try to take as many people as she can down with her.

How long has this Rev.S. been their pastor? Are they members of this church, if so, for how long?
I was under the impression that the A’s were Catholic,this because I thought I had read that Caylee was given a rosary when she was baptized. Someone one has said that they are not catholic and KC. was wearing the rosary as a necklace.
If Caylee was baptized, they had to have attended some church, is this the same one? If not then why not? You would think when this happened the pastor of whatever church they had attended would have been there to support the family. I find it odd that a pastor that doesn’t know them has become so involved, using his church for the vigils and now it seems the family’s pastor.They were not going to hold the vigils during the holidays and that seemed odd. Why would you not do this for one of your members in their time of need??
I think this pastor and his church was and is being used by the A’s however the pastor could also be using them.

I’m not sure what their religion is…but I can tell you that they are not Catholic.
My family and I are Catholic…wearing a Rosary around the neck like a a necklace
is considered very disrespectful. I don’t know if Casey is aware of that…personally I doubt she cares…wearing it was just another one of her many acts.
That girl may have shouted “OH GOD” many times…but I doubt it had anything to do with religion.
I don’t think anyone would give a non Catholic a Rosary when baptised….Most of us received our Rosary as a “First Communion” gift…I was in second grade so I guess about age 8?
I think I heard that someone sent the Rosary for Caylee after she was reported missing….But I could be wrong.
If I saw that guy on the street I would never guess he is a pastor…He looks like my dentist.
Whether or not Cindy had any knowledge of what happened to Caylee is something we may never know. But something we DO know is, she was giving conflicting information to LE. Please sign the petition holding her responsible for her actions. Just go to http://www.thepetitionsite.com and add your name to the ever-growing list. It’s the least we can do for today.

I am also Catholic and yes we all know you do not wear the Rosary as jewelry.
I wondered why anyone would give a protestant a Rosary,that is why I thought what I had heard may have been true.
In our family we give Rosaries for baptism First Holy Communion, weddings whenever?? There are some beautiful ones for Baptism,they are small for a baby. I’m off tract,sorry.
I have many Protestant friends and their church is a lot like ours(Catholic) the pastor knows his parishioners, and would have been by G&C’s, side, the entire family for that matter,so I am very suspicious of this pastor and his church.How did he become involved with the A’s?
He could be passing along messages from G&C,he would become useful and maybe that’s why G&C went to church last Sunday,they have not attended before,at least no one has reported it and their every move is reported.
I would hope he is trying to save KC’s soul,encouraging her to tell the truth,help her to find God and see the errors of her ways. If he has been visiting her for awhile it’s not working. He needs to increase his visits to once weekly, she needs more than once a month!!!!

There are a lot of different denominations outside the mainstream ones, and some of those the ministers,pastors or whatever they call themselves do not go to college to become ordained, some are mail order ordained.

I wondered that, too, Mand. As a matter of fact that was the first thing that came to mind-they are sending and receiving messages through the minister. I could be wrong about that, and of course, it doesn’t matter if they are. I’d kind of feel better if they were, actually. It’s really bothered me for some reason that they’ve had no contact–even after the body was found. You’d think they would want to comfort each other? Knowing their conversations are recorded–they could just not say anything other than, “I love you, etc.”

I can’t see Cindy and KC. not having any contact,certainly not for this length of time and now with the body being found. I;m sure that is part of Baez’s late night visits. Then if the pastor is also delivering messages KC is well informed an how her family is feeling and what they are doing.
Off the subject but it just came on the news Drew Peterson is engaged #5 I think they said she is 23yrs. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS???? They have known each other for 4 long months!!!!
Thats true…it probably just depends on the families tradition as to when the Rosary is given.
You are also right about a Pastor knowing his parishoners and being by their side…even if they were not active…if they were members the pastor would offer his support. If me or one of my siblings were in some sort of trouble my parents would have called ours.

I doubt G&C belonged to a church,protestants do not have to go to class for baptism,they do not have God Parents as we do,so they would not have to belong to the church to have Caylee Baptized,according to my info.That would make a difference.
Can’t imagine in a million years why a 23 year old would want to be with Drew Peterson–my guess is she’s got a set of problems all her own, and probably a set of parents trying to deal with those problems……….
Monica–one of my sons tell me that it’s “trendy” for girls to wear rosaries as necklaces. I guess nothing is sacred anymore. The hope would be that a person wearing a rosary in this manner might become curious and feel compelled to learn something about the history behind it and in the process learn the stations of the cross and what it means to say the rosary.
Yeah, I know! And no one needs to remind me that I have those rose-colored glasses on again! I’ll take em’ off.
