Texas-based EquuSearch says after Monday, it’s suspending the search for the body of Caylee Anthony.

Sunday about 800 people scoured parts of East Orange County looking for the missing girl but found nothing.EquuSearch founder Tim Miller says he believes the girl’s remains will never be found. He told Channel 9 his donors and the families of other missing people have been pressuring him to end his massive search in Orlando and start helping others.Miller also says EquuSearch is in debt. After the group’s two searches in Orlando, EquuSearch has spent more than $75,000 on equipment and staff. The entire weekend turned out to be a disappointment. Not only were searchers unable to find Caylee, the turnout was much smaller than expected. Organizers had predicted up to 5,000 volunteers would show up for the weekend search, but only 1,500 showed up Saturday, and even less on Sunday.

This is so disappointing.  Could Casey really have done the unthinkable and put Caylee’s body in a dumpster or in a swampy alligator infested area?  In either of those scenarios,Tim Miller is right–her body will never be found.

Let’s hope the prosecution succeeds in having a gag order placed on the Anthony family and Casey’s attorneys–though I imagine it will be impossible to silence Cindy now that there is still no body….

I am in doubt about this searcher: He came in before, searched about a day-then left. Then he came back with great fan fare-searched for two days and is leaving. He did the same thing with Natalie Holloway. I sincerely wonder how many successes he has truly had.

Which searcher are you referring to Toni?

I do not blame Tim MIller and his crew at all, I live in Fl and the weather here would damage anything, especially after that length of time. Furthermore, he doesn’t have Caylees family behid him, and is not getting the support that was expected, and to top it all off, it has put him in the hole.

Caylee’s poor bones would be so tiny, and left to the elements here it really is like finding a needle in a haystack

To Toni, I assume you are referring to Tim Miller. Not to sound rude but try putting yourself in his shoes. No one forces him to go out there, he is doing this as volunteer work. This man has devoted his life, because his own daughter was murdered, to help finding missing people. Did you see the pictures of the searches? They have tons of equipment, horses, people ground searching, etc. Tim has experience in searching plus it takes money to do this and he’s already spent up to $75,000 looking for Caylee. I bet he’d love to stay til he finds her but there is only so much a person can do. Also, Caylee isn’t the only missing person. 2 days of searching the many “hot spots” should have turned up something. But it Casey did throw her body into a swamp then it’s gone forever. There is only so far you can go to try and find a body, a needle in a haystack. It is a lot easier looking at it from our side than actually being out there really doing it.

Pak31 speaks for me. Also, you seem to be bothered by the “only two days” of searching. I’m sure many of the searchers had to return to a regular job come Monday morning.

Nasty, miserable work wading through swamps and thickets looking for the remains of a little lost lamb, gone for months… I’m not sure how long I’d be able to go on with it.

    Nice picture, Mystery.

I think the last count I heard was $100,000. Yes, Tim Miller and is organization is definitely proof that one person can make a difference. He took his personal tragedy and turned it into a positive. God bless him–and Leonard Padilla
