All I can say is that we should be allowed to agree or disagree with what we see as far as behavior from the Anthony’s, that is only normal, but to to sit there and condemn them to Hell or wish them dead etc. that is just cold, callous behavior. It really doesn’t put us at any level higher than them. If you look at it from a God like or christian point of view, we really are not in the position to “judge” others. I mean, Casey, we know that if she did this it’s awful and cruel and what ever the facts spell out, there is nothing good coming from murdering your own child. G & C may be terrible parents, enablers, horrible with the press, not forthcoming etc. but to sit there and call them names in anger and hatred and to wish ill will on them is not something God would want us to do. I am not an overly religious person nor am I trying to make this into a religous post. It’s just something to think about, would He approve of our behavior? If He loves all of us, including the evil people, is it right for us to hate them? I don’t know. I just know that this case doesn’t involve me personally, I don’t know the Anthony’s personally and although I don’t agree with a lot that they have done, who am I to say they should live or die or what ever? I think this is something that each one of them has to personally deal with. I will just make sure that what I take from this case is that you need to love your family and children and do what is best for them.

Wait and see, when the body is identifeid as Caylee Anthony..ROUND 2..SPIN SPIN SPIN….The new theory will be all over the airwaves that Zanny the Nanny or the meter reader broke into the house and framed Casey..It is only logical, the only reason that the Anthonys keep defending Casey and spinning this story, and BAD MOUTHING the police is because they are involved in the cover-up and murder of Caylee Anthony..That is the only logical reason why they keep on protecting Casey, when they know damm well that Casey murdered Caylee, its only to protect themselves as well..Dont forget people, Cindy and George Anthony and Lee did not take a LIE DECTECTOR TEST, they washed pants and cleaned the car of evidence, they laughed at police and the DNA evidence and thought the public people were completly STUPID..They gave the wrong haibruseh to police and the FBI..This may sound unbelievible, but when all the evidence is out on the table, you will find out that little caylee was killed at home..That is one reason for the carpet samples and drywall samples and vaccumm taken from the Anthony home..The Anthony are monsters and liers and obstructed justice…

I have never bought the poor grandmother act Cindy put on..remember she was trying to
get away with Casey in a car as deputies were trying to arrest her again. And she washed
Casey’s clothing…please folks..Casey’s parents are a nurse and deputy they are not
stupid, they know what a dead body smells like and how to dispose of things. I say
both George and Cindy should be ashamed of themselves for helping bring home their grandchild
    for proper burial…

It sounds like they are finally taking advice from someone,Brad Conway may have reached them. This is what they should have done from the beginning. I do hope they do what they say they are going to do,it’s time for the circus to close shop.

I Agree with Tonil, Chuck and Jane. I Find it ridiculous cindy and george are waiting so they say, to see if this is indeed their caylee. See they are still lieing. they know it is caylee and if they didn’t, go talk to their snot head kid casey. she knows. Don’t be fooled by this letter you just read of the A’s sounding actually human. they will do everything they can to even when the remains are undefiably without a doubt identified as caylee to shove any and everyone under the bus still so just watch. They had no mercy for amy and her family nor did they for jesse grund and his family, as they were so trying to put the suspicion on them in hopes LE would get suspicious enough to think maybe those two had something to do with it, while all along knowing amy and jesse were innocent. IT DOESN’T GET ANY SORRIER THAN THIS~~ my guess is the A’s new attorney is the one that actually came up with the words to this letter. only thing i think is original G&C is the part where they want to be left alone , hide out would be more honest. I know God will expect me to forgive them but i am not ready to do this yet. God does no i am human and my heart is in the right place, with Caylee Marie and not C&G nor Lee. Why is my heart not with them also? They have not deserved it!!

  8. December 15, 2008 2:31 pm

MAND, NO, they will be back in full force soon as the body is identified as caylee, pushing any and everyone they can come up with under the bus. they are not taking this lawyer’s advice even now. They just don’t know what to say at this point as they want to continue their lies and spin ,but right now they can’t until they release it is caylee. People like these never learn and they will prove this once again. my guess is they will deny it is caylee. I just don’t put any faith in snakes, as they will always come back and bite you~~

If it turns out that Casey’s fingerprints are on that duct tape, then I will give up and agree that she is pure evil, and a horrible monster that ought to be put to death before she can hurt anyone else.

Until then, I will maintain the hope that this poor, wretched family is not evil, but tragically unfortunate in that they have produced a sociopathic daughter, and are/were completely unaware, uninformed of how to minimize the damage she could do to their lives…and her own life.

The ‘wrong’ hairbrush was ok’d at the time it was given, Cindy told investigators she wasn’t sure it was Caylee’s or Casey’s or both, and was told it wouldn’t matter, they would be able to tell which hair was whose. As for cleaning the car and washing clothing found in the back seat–it was done in the first hours, when Casey was still assuring everyone that Caylee was fine, not missing, just misplaced, temporarily, with the nanny… Cindy told investigators that she had removed the clothing and washed it, they were not overly concerned at that time, they probably thought they were responding to a typical domestic dispute and that Casey would soon produce her daughter and put an end to the dispute.

The duct tape is terribly ominous, it proves there was no accidental death, as I and many others had thought, it proves there was no sudden, spiteful act of rage against Cindy as many have thought. It proves that the child was killed deliberately, with some forethought.

If it is also true that the child was killed and disposed of without clothes, naked, then I am very much afraid the easiest explanation is that Casey did tell some of the truth. She trusted her baby to some boyfriend, maybe some ex-lover, while she went out to have fun, and that guy took his lust out on poor little Caylee…

Why she would protect that person, why she would not cooperate with police, I cannot imagine. It’s just a wild guess on my part, but it is food for thought.

  12. December 15, 2008 2:47 pm

Tonill, thanks for the link. I Just viewed it. not impressed with kathy Reich, she has only done a criminal case two times in her whole career. Henry Lee has proven himself dishonest, that is the problem, prosecution knows they cannot trust any of these people and they are right on, but the state is going by florida law. they are doing it right and it is killing bozo baez and the dream/sleeze team. they thought they were big wigs and would just come in and take over. Got fooled. also, what makes the dream/sleeze team so smart that they don’t think fbi labs and etc, cannot do a good job testing these remains? my guess is of course they know they can. they are just trying to find something to gripe about and try to get it thrown out if they can. sleeze team if i ever saw one. also duct tape , don’t agree with the blonde woman saying duct tape has been under so they want get anything from that. wrong, the stickiest underneath part will have stayed dry. What they all fail to get is why was Caylee Marie found Thursday morning by a utility worker and who made this happen? when they figure that one out, then the dream/sleeze team will know they might as well go back home as they were already defeated before they got here~ My only question i have for the dream/sleeze team, are they smart enough to figure out the answer to my question? MY EDUCATED GUESS IS NO~~ OTHERWISE THEY WOULD NOT BE THE DREAM/SLEEZE TEAM~~

kari, believe it that casey would not sacrifice herself to not rat out someone else. she already tried to rat on jesse grund remember? she kept telling mom cindy she didn’t trust jesse and cindy lied saying casey was afraid of jesse. The whole family is disgraceful from throwing away stuffed animals that nice caring people gave for caylee for her third birthday and insulting those people on national tv, to Lee throwing out the memorial flowers nice people placed in the yard for caylee~ There is nothing wrong with Casey Marie Anthony aside she is Evil in the purest form. The rest of the family are running a close race with casey with their actions even though i believe G&C loved caylee, but i have a problem with any grandparents that do their best to prevent their own grandbaby from being found. they did not have to throw casey under the bus in order to let searches look for their grandbaby and be supportive of that. what grandparents don’t want their grandbaby found? I have zero sympathy, zero anything for anyone in the anthony family, aside of precious Caylee and the poor great grandparents.

  17. December 15, 2008 3:05 pm

Tonill, to not prosecute George would be actually in the defense favor. they want to use him as a witness as what he has told really sums up casey from a Dad’s own words, unless George purgers himself and that is surely possible. he lied on LKL the nite before caylee was found the next morning. said he had no idea food left that long could make that kind of smell. however, they should haul cindy’s fanny in as she will be worthless as a witness, and no one wants to watch her swallow that water bottle, and pick at her hand and face and so and so on. so i say pick her up. Lee i believe will be the next big arrest and soon. I think he either hepled casey bury caylee in that bag in the beginning or he kept moving the bag one.

  18. December 15, 2008 3:06 pm

typpo , i meant to say pick at her hair, not hand.

  19. December 15, 2008 3:17 pm

TO TOP IT ALL OFF, LEE WAS IN A BASEBALL MODE WHEN SNATCHING UP THE MEMORIAL FLOWERS. IT IS HIS BABY NIECE THAT HAS BEEN MISSING AND HE IS JUST MOSEING ALONG PLAYING BALL AND SO ON LIKE IT IS A STRAY CAT MISSING. NEED I SUM THEM UP ANY BETTER.

  20. December 15, 2008 3:31 pm

I have been following this case from the very beginning. One thing that stands out for me is when LP was searching the water in the park and found that bag, Casey was watching and her reaction was nothing! She went back to her cell and read as Nancy Grace reported. When these remains were found she was so emotional that she had to be sedated. What does that tell you? She knows that they found casey because that is where she put her. She really thought she was going to get away with this. George and Cindy need to do right by that little girl. It’s fine that they want to stand behind Casey ( that is their daughter) but they need to stop being in denial and accept their daughter has committed this crime. Not some fictional character that doesn’t exist. Didn’t anyone else find it odd that a 22 year old unemployed, single mom had a nanny? I hope Justice is served!!!!

There is no doubt in my mind that Cindy and George loved Caylee and are heartbroken right now. However, with that said, in my opinion, I think that they KNOW their daughter killed Caylee and they are trying to do what they think is right by protecting her. I don’t agree with them at all. I’m a Mom of 3. My little girl will be 3 tomorrow and I look at her and wonder what can make a mother murder her baby? I don’t understand it at all. She was young and having to be a Mom is a huge job. But there were so many other options. She could have given that baby to her parents to raise and she could have continued to tramp around, but at least Caylee would still be here, being loved.

And the way that it was done. OK, so maybe it was an “accident” as some theorize. But to throw this beautiful little girl into a plastic bag like trash and throwing her into the woods all alone. What is that all about. Sure she would still be in a load of trouble had she reported the “accident” right after it happened, but at least there would have been closure long ago and she would be held accountable for what she did. Instead it is going to be a notehr 3 ring circus like that low life Scott peterson – the next dream team being put together – for what?? To prove that this little girl didn’t deserve to die at the hands of the one person who should have been protecting her??

Again, my heart does go out to George and Cindy because there’s no doubt they are in pain over losing Caylee. But this selfish piece of work needs to own up to what she did. Admit it and take your punishment – for the first time in your life casey tell the truth. This was your baby, do the right thing for her memory.

Unlike many, I feel some sympathy for the grandparents. Deep down, they know their daughter has intentionally or unintentionally caused Caylee’s death. Can you imagine what it must be like to come to grips with the knowledge that someone you love dearly could do something so heinous to someone else you loved so dearly? They are obviously in denial – they know Caylee is gone, but they can not easily just wipe out a whole lifetime of concern for their daughter, no matter what kind of monster she has become. Casey should die for her crime if it was an intentional act. The grandparents need to finally confront her, tell her they know she is responsible for the death, and help her to tell the rest of the world the truth. We will know when we hear it. If she continues to lie and mislead, as difficult as it would be, they should cut off all communication and support for their daughter forever, out of respect for their precious granddaughter.

I also believe George and Cindy loved Caylee. But I believe they had suspected Caylee was not livng a long time back. They also loved Casey.Truth is they lost Casey long before they lost Caylee. They just can’t bring themselfs to believe there own daughter was capable of killing Caylee.Hard thing to have to admit being a parent.I know I would never want to be in there shoes..I dont know for sure if they tampered with the evidence, but my opinion is they did.I think alot of this could of ended when George went to pick up the car at the tow yard,he smelled death and should of called 911 before he moved the car.Touch nothing, until the police got there. You would think him being a former police at one time he would of done that, when he knew the car smelled like death. I I dont know how any one can call this an accident.Accidents occur, you call 911 and get help right away. Not throw a child in a wooded area in a garage bag, like a piece of trash. She did something she knew could be proven if it had been a accident.IMO that is why if it had of been some accident thats why Casey didnt call to get help.JMO

Nina, don’t forget that when George went to pick up the car, they had no idea that Caylee was really missing. They knew Casey hadn’t let them see her for a while and they were worried, but I also think, reading between the lines, they were mad as wet hornets. Casey had done enough other rotten things to them, that they were more angry than worried, like, “Now what have you done, Casey?”

So when they opened the trunk and only found a nearly empty garbage bag, the main reaction was relief, and when they found Amy’s phone number in the car and called her and heard that Casey was fine, and the baby was with the nanny, well, any thought of possible foul play at that point was gone. Just, ‘Wait till I get my hands on that darned Casey!’

Several more hours passed, Casey steadfastly refusing to let them see Caylee, and Cindy trying to cajole and bully her into handing over Caylee, up until the point where she was calling 911. She thought she was sort of bluffing, then Casey called the bluff, and worse, trumped it by telling her Caylee was missing.

Only then, after George had already gone to work and they had begun trying to ‘air out’ the car, maybe those clothes were already in the wash, then they knew the true gravity of the situation, and still it was more hours, most of a day, until police had run down all the addresses and phone numbers and info Casey gave them and found it was all lies, only then did suspicion begin to fall upon Casey.

I agree that George didnt know Caylee was missing at the time he picked up the car at the tow yard.but I recall he said something maybe not out loud as he stated,to himself don’t let this be my daughter or grandaughter. He knew the car smelled like a decomposing body and made that statement about his daughter and grandaughter..If he felt that way, being a former police officer,in my opinion should of called 911 before taking the car home.

    Kari

Remember, George said in the interview with LE that when he picked up the car and smelled it, that he was praying the whole time that his Caylee wasn’t in the trunk. He said more than once he knew that smell. He had to go outside and throw up thinking about it. George knew there was the smell of a decomposing body in the car and yet they went home and aired it out, Cindy washed the slacks, etc. I agree with you that they didn’t know the gravity of the situation at first, but I agree with Nina that George at least knew something was very wrong, and as a former policeman, he knew better than to mess with the car.

As far as it being an accident, I would like to continue to believe it was–but I think that possibility is becoming very remote. If her fingerprints are on the duct tape it was no accident.

The way Cindy soft baby-talks over the phone to Casy (“Now honey, tell us whatever you can”)in the prison used to drive me insane. Now I guess she might be following police orders not to alienate her daughter. What if she refused all contact with Casey until Casey talked? Nancy Grace needs a new case to focus on as well. Gett Casey out of the spotlight and watch her start making a ruckus. She can’t help herself. She will talk when the lights go out, if only to get them back onto her again,

Hey, Mystery, thanks for the input. Did George throw up at the tow yard? I don’t remember hearing about that. I do remember him saying that when he smelled that smell, he started praying it would not be Casey or Caylee. I understand you and Nina, and others, saying that right then, he ought to have called police, and not tampered with the car. I’m pretty hazy on the legal aspect. Until this case, I would have said that a mere smell would not constitute evidence, and the police would laugh at you for reporting it. Now I know that they were able to take air samples and actually analyze the smell!

Legally, I’m not sure if he was obliged to have preserved the car as evidence. Morally, if he was really sure about the smell, then I’d have to agree with you. But was he sure? Or did he walk away thinking, ‘Thank God it wasn’t what I thought! Thank God it was just a smelly bag of old garbage…’

Yeah, just the mere fact of duct tape covering the mouth of the child means it was not any kind of accident, nor a sudden blow struck in a fit of rage against Cindy. It was planned, it was murder. And finding the child unclothed, coupled with Casey’s remark early on that, “They haven’t even found her clothes, yet.”–well, that makes me think that Casey was not alone with Caylee when she died. Because short of some fiendish ritual sacrifice, I can’t think of any reason for Casey to strip off her clothes and duct tape her mouth… But then, Casey’s remark shows that she at least knew how the body was buried…

I’m going round in circles with it, and getting no closer. If Casey did it, then it’s beyond my understanding, anyway. Craziness, I can understand, but evil I cannot.

    Kari,

It wasn’t at the tow yard. In the last batch of interviews released, George was describing the smell to LE . He got sick to his stomach during the interview just remembering it,went outside and threw up, according to the officer’s report.

From what he said in that interview he was sure what the smell was. He said he knew from his past experience in law enforcement what human decomposition smelled like and that you never forget it. Those interview videos are archived at the top of this blog under “Casey Anthony Documents” if you want to watch them.

Leonard Padilla seems to think Casey put the tape on Caylee’s mouth after she died to make it look like the kidnappers killed her. There was a time I would have thought that to be a really far-fetched theory, but now, I think anything is possible.
