How was Jose Baez able to show Casey Anthony People magazine and other publications in jail? Isn’t that against the rules?
After watching the “lost” jailhouse video between Casey and her parents, a few questions have arisen. One being how was Baez able to show Casey, People magazine, and how was she able to read her Bible when Cindy had stated before that she wasn’t allowed to have it.
Looks like it is NOT possible to bring books or magazines into the jail for inmates. I would assume that would include her Bible, as Cindy said. But I read somewhere that she did have access to a Bible. According to the above rules, if the books or magazines were sent from a publisher or bookstore she would be allowed to have them.
In the video, she specifically said JOSE showed her People magazine. maybe that was possible because of the motion shown below, and OC’s change of policy regarding laptops and attorneys. Jose could have downloaded the article in People magazine on his laptop and shown it to Casey or, maybe he accessed it online. I’m sure he’s getting whatever information she requests or needs through that laptop. I don’t know how or if at all the jail would monitor what he was doing with his computer while they were together.
