Casey Anthony WILL be at all future court proceedings

January 24, 2009

judge-strickland3There was an important development Friday in the Casey Anthony Case. Judge Stan Strickland has ordered her tocasey-in-court-hearing-two attend all future court proceedings.

You might recall that she was dragged into court in shackles at the last hearing because brilliant Baez didn’t have her sign a hearing waiver.

The court decided, if she waives any future hearings, they run the risk of further legal problems. She will be allowed to skip minor scheduling or trial status hearings.order-to-appear-in-court1

So, Casey will be forced to get off her butt and be at all the court proceedings.  Maybe some of the reality of the seriousness of her situation will sink in when she’s forced to sit there and listen.  And, more importantly,  she won’t be able to come back later and say she had an incompetent lawyer  (although it’s pretty obvious she does)  and demand a new trial.

I applaud this judge! Casey wanted the spotlight…she got it. Why let her cower behind the scenes? She should be forced to face the ugliness and destruction she has created. Make her watch and listen as those who cared about her and Caylee unravel her flimsy tale of lies. Her mask is being ripped from her face, revealing the monster behind it for all to see. The charade is OVER! I hardly think she will care about any pain she has caused, but I can guarantee she will feel the humiliation of being exposed for what she “really” is. She will not like being torn apart in front of the world. It is an intelligent and necessary decision.

Mystery, people who have low self-esteem (as Cindy does) are weak of character. A person with a healthy self-esteem does not have to resort to hurting people to maintain control. A strong personality knows how to spread the honey to attract the bees. We all manipulate our surrounding to a degree. Those who resort to name calling and abuse, are weak in the sense that the lack the emotional intelligence to manipulate their enviornment in construtive ways. It is their own insecurities that end up taking them down. Look at Hitler, for instance. He had many insecurities, one of which was his Jewish descent. He had many secrets he was desperate to keep away from others. Now look at Martin Luther King. He too manipulated the masses, but in a positive way. IQ is only part of it, emotional intelligence is the other. A balanced individual is able to put intelligence over emotion.

I failed to mention; both Hitler and Martin Luther King were strong personality types, but Hilter was weak of character.

A person of strong character does need to resort to immoral or illegal means to obtain the goal. The strong and healthy character traits prevent them from doing this, and force them to look beyond the scope of appearances, and self-fulfillment. They strive for goodness and equality knowing this directly effects their own enviornment. They are able to recognize their weaknesses, and strive for personal improvement by exposing their being human, and accepting the ideas of others. They will not hide behind a fantasy world of perfection or superiority, but remain open to the experiences and humility of others.

A true sociopath doesn’t feel shame or humiliation!

They do for themselves, not others.

They are driven by their own self needs. It is these very emotions that often drive them to comment crimes. The result is self satistaction.

Just read “The Sociopath Next Door.” Very easy to read and informative. Casey fits the description to a “T.”

Yes, she does. Her case will one day be used in Psychology classrooms. Here is in interesting topic, which I retrieved from
    I found it interesting, because it attempts to explain what drives these people to do what they do. Something we haven’t discussed in much detail here. I posted the web info for anyone who would like to read the information in it’s entirety. I am always interested in learning something new. This is the part I copied;

This is an interesting question. Of course most of our purposes are strongly influenced by our connections and affections with others. Our relationships with others, and our love for them, give us most of the meaning in life. So if a sociopath doesn’t have these things, what is left? What kind of purposes do they have?

The answer is chilling: They want to win. Take away love and relationships and all you have left is winning the game, whatever the game is. If they are in business, it is becoming rich and defeating competitors. If it is sibling rivalry, it is defeating the sibling. If it is a contest, the goal is to dominate. If a sociopath is the envious sort, winning would be making the other lose, or fail, or be frustrated or embarrassed.

A sociopath’s goal is to win. And he is willing to do anything at all to win.

Sociopaths have nothing else to think about, so they can be very clever and conniving. Sociopaths are not busy being concerned with relationships or moral dilemmas or conflicting feelings, so they have much more time to think about clever ways to gain your trust and stab you in the back, and how do it without anyone knowing what’s happening.

One of the questions in the list above was about boredom. This is a real problem for sociopaths and they seem fanatically driven to prevent boredom. The reason it looms so large for them (and seems so strange to us) is that our relationships with people occupy a good amount of our time and attention and interest us intensely. Take that away and all you have is “playing to win” which is rather shallow and empty in comparison. So boredom is a constant problem for sociopaths and they have an incessant urge to keep up a level of stimulation, even negative stimulation (drama, worry, upset, etc.).

And here I might mention that the research shows sociopaths don’t feel emotions the same way normal people do. For example, they don’t experience fear as unpleasant. This goes a long way to explaining the inexplicable behavior you’ll see in sociopaths. Some feelings that you and I might find intolerable might not bother them at all.

Some of this we gathered by our own observations, but much explains in depth as to why and how they operate the way they do. I never thought about how much empty space one would have, if not being kept busy in maintaining our relationships. That would be quite boring. I just found this interesting and thought you might too.

I’m glad the judge ruled she attend..she does need to be there..I don’t give a damm if she is bored out of her mind..she needs to be there and know all in court have their eyes on her demeanor..give her something to think about…no more hiding.
As for the incompetent lawyer… can you say that?? He is teaching at a law school…upperclassmen!!!! That’s a Hoot!!
It’s not enough that one may be stupid..NOW they will TEACH IT!!!

LOL!!! I’m sure Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnel love the guy!!! They teach stupid all of the time, even though they don’t teach it necessarily in colleges they do have quite the following there. It’s so hard for me to swallow people getting paid for stupidity and it’s not in a comedy setting. Baez so fits the bill! I’m really glad that Miss Casey has to attend the hearings. I hope it drives her crazy!!! She sooo has to be taught that you can’t always have your way!!!

Judge Stan Strickland is ok after all in my Opinion.
I am so glad Casey has to sit there and listen to everything.
She thought she would get away by hiding in her Cell and every one else will take care of everything.
Well Casey, I guess You have to learn now to take Orders, no way around that any more. 😆

I just wonder what Baez is thinking about the Judes Order, I guess he must feel every one is out to get him, maybe it is because he is Hispanic, You think lol
I am sure he didn’t like it to not be able to fulfill his Girl’s wishes.
He really needs to watch out, Casey might turn on him eventually like she did with so many others.

You know Hilde, it truly amazes me every single time I think about it that Baez has tried these stupid little games, like the race card, “dream team”, etc. He sooo wants to be somebody and he just keeps sticking his greedy little foot in his mouth. I wish that he could realize that doesn’t wash anymore. LOL, he amazes me. I think Casey’s case is going to sink him.

Friendly Mom–Thanks for all that information about sociopaths. I find it really fascinating. I’ll check out the website. Paula, I have read that book and have seen the movie “The Bad Seed”. I think I commented on another blog about that movie and how Casey and Cindy reminded me of that little girl and her mother.

I agree with all of you. She should have to sit in that courtroom and hear every word that’s said about her and she should have to feel all the eyes boring holes in her back from the spectators. Paul’s right–she played–now she’ll pay.

Mand–I think we should enroll in some of Baez’ classes. I’m sure we would learn alot!

Hilde, Niecey-Casey is gonna sink Baez just like she sinks everyone that comes in contact with her.

Did you see that he uses some of the students in his law office?? That’s one way of off-setting cost..I’m sure he doesn’t pay them. …WHAT A MAN!!!
