George Anthony, hospitalized after a suicide scare, may be released later today.  Brad Conway, the Anthony’s attorney, said he’s a lot better but needs to be able to say goodbye properly to Caylee.

“He’s out of the woods, but he has a long way to go,” Conway said. “The first step is burying Caylee.”George Anthony is recovering from a suicide scare.”He does have that will to live and survive.”

Conway believes that part of the problem is that George hasn’t been able to reach any closure.

“In our culture, burying your loved one is one of the biggest steps toward healing, and they have not been able to do that,” Conway said. “They need to take that step.”

Conway said George is making progress after spending the weekend in the hospital and that he’s been under a physician’s care since early Friday morning after police found him in a motel with a suicide note.

“It suggested that he wanted to be with Caylee. You know, leave this Earth and go to the next life to be with Caylee, with God,” Daytona Beach Police Chief Michael Chitwood said.

Well, I think everyone is in agreement that Caylee needs to be laid to rest–It should have been done weeks ago. But, why is Conway making George’s suicide scare about Caylee’s burial? Does anyone really think George was on the verge of killing himself because Caylee hasn’t been buried?   I don’t believe Caylee’s remains being put in the ground will give  him the closure he needs.   ONLY THE TRUTH CAN DO THAT.

We’ve had conflicting stories as to WHO is responsible for the delay in Caylee’s burial.  Are the Anthony’s the reason or is it Baez and Casey?  Has it been a power play between the two camps?  Are the Anthony’s afraid of what will happen to them when she has finally been buried?  Is Baez holding out for entertainment deals??   WHO CARES!!! Just lay that baby to rest!  She deserves to have someone –ANYONE—  put her first for a change.  Give her some respect.

I’m afraid I can’t get too awfully sentimental about funerals. Thank goodness, the self does not continue to inhabit the corpse, and is not affected by its treatment.

It is pretty awful to have the poor child’s bones rolling around in some cardboard box, or stainless steel drawer or something, but this delay is only part of the much greater indignity that was done to her when she was first murdered, and then disposed of like garbage.

The fault does not lie with the Anthonys or even with the lawyers who don’t want her buried until they are quite sure they’ve got everything they want from her. They fault lies with her murderer, the one who left her body to be eaten by animals and her bones to be scattered till the police dug up about a quarter-acre to find all the little bits…

That’s the truth, Kari. Of course it’s the fault of her murderer. Because of Casey’s lies, (whether she’s the killer or not) this has been anything but easy for LE and the prosecutors seeking the truth, or for the defense, who IMO are seeking to AVERT the truth for the sake of reasonable doubt.

BUT, I still think the Anthonys have to take credit for a lot of the chaos. They bought the circus.

Mystery.. I just heard that George will not be released today and when he is released he may be transferred to another facility for further treatment.
I was pretty sure that would be what would happen..that was how it was done where I worked.
