The Anthonys are hoping to set Caylee’s burial date this week

January 26, 2009

brad-conway-on-todayAttorney, Brad Conway, appeared on the Today show this morning and said that the Anthonys are hoping to set the date of Caylee’s burial this week.

“Burying Caylee — that is one of the biggest things they need to do right now. They have been criticized for delaying the burial, and they have nothing to do with that.” Conway told Meredith Vieira on Today.

Conway said that the Anthonys let the state and defense do everything they needed to in order to get ready for Casey’s trial.  But, he thinks enough is enough.

“It’s time now we get on with that,” Conway said of the burial.

George is still hospitalized as of this morning, and Conway said he did not think George should go home yet.

“He needs help to begin the [healing] process. One of the issues is getting  back to normalcy. George is trying to get a job and has been unable to do that because of all the publicity surrounding him and the negative publicity by the media.”  Conway feels the first step to getting back to normalcy is to finally be able to bury Caylee.

I agree 100% that they need to bury Caylee NOW!  As for “normalcy”, I’m afraid the Anthonys will never have any semblance of that again.  I don’t think it is possible to recover from the loss of a child–you learn to live with it, but you never get over it.  I really believe the path to learning to live with this tragedy begins, for the Anthonys, with the TRUTH–whatever that truth is.  The chips will have to fall where they may–that little girl deserves nothing less than the no-spin unvarnished truth. Only then will anything even resembling peace be able to come into their lives.

It is going to take more than a weekend for George to heal..he is going to need counseling for a long time..keep in mind George had problems prior to the murder of his granddaughter..he and Cindy had marital difficulties..the financial problems he was having and losing an enormous amount of money($30.000) the unsteady work habits.
It appeared that he was not given much respect by Cindy and certainly not KC. and this was life before the add what has happened to his life since then and anyone can see that his medical problems can not be fixed in a weekend or a month.. and it may take a year or more..there is a lot to work through…and to start with… the it’s not about Caylee being put to’s so much deeper than that.
George should really be hospitalized for at least a month..this is the norm for these sort of cases.

Caylee should be buried has been far to long..and as for what they may need ..take samples of what may be needed.. if they are going to cremate..otherwise they can always exhume ..if it is that important.JOM.

At least he’s safe in the hospital, don’t have to listen to the WHACKJOB’s blabberings.Burying Caylee will bring no closure for Georgieboy, only more grief and anguish.Closure will come when the judge says LIFE in prison for the Crazyone! The demons will be with him till the day he dies.

I agree Mand. Poor George had a plethora of problems way before Caylee disappeared.

George needs counseling, but IMO, it won’t help much unless Cindy joins him in that counseling. They both need help individually and together.

I pray that it happens soon for them. They need the peace of mind that she is being put to rest; no more being out there alone, no more examinations from strange prodding eyes, just dignified peace. This baby has been through enough, and for the most part, her grandparents have had no control. This is her coming home, to the two that loved her, and put to rest on their terms. It is long over due, and just breaks my heart. I know they long to hold her, just one last time. Their evil daughter could not even give them that. There isn’t even a little face to touch one more time. I know that has to be so painful.

You know Mystery, probably the worst punishment for Casey is have her face disfigured and life in prison. She based so much on her looks. This way everytime she looks in the mirror, is a reminder of the ugliness and pain she created. And no longer will she use her looks for personal gain.

I agree on the counseling. He first needs to do it alone. He needs time to reflect on himself, his loses, and needs. He needs to figure out where George wants to go from here. Then Cindy should join him, when he is strong enough to face all the issues.

Casey’s “looks” will fade in prison, friendlymom. She will age before her time–and there will be no one there to “admire” her.

She will be nothing but a number that no one cares about…just a bad memory.

After awhile, everyone goes on with their lives. All she will have is the nagging, haunting image of being left in the dust.

For some reason I don’t see Cindy seeking help..and if she is against it and should go just to satisfy..say Conway or ain’t gonna work!!
Cindy’s type rarely seeks assistance in matters such as these..she has that strong dominant personality that feels no one can help them as much as they can help themselves.

I agree Mystery..if George has to return to the house with Cindy all will have been for naught.
She considers George weak to begin with and this was an embarrassment to her Cindy is all about image..this would be a major blow..her only hope would be that someone will feel sorry for her that she has to once again carry the load.

George really needs help and he’s reaching out for it.
I found it very cruel for Cindy to even suggest that he shop for jewery for “Baby Caylee” she just pushed him right over the edge and I think that she knew what she was doing.

Yeah–Karma’s a bitch–and SHE’LL take care of it! She’ll take care of a lot of things.
