Haleigh Cummings was featured on America’s Most Wanted Saturday

March 1, 2009

haleigh-cummings-2Haleigh Cummings was featured on “America’s Most Wanted” Saturday night, nearly 3 weeks after she went missing.   The Putnam County investigators have been following thousands of leads, but the family said they aren’t any closer to locating her than they were the morning of February 10, the day she went missing.

“He point-blank told us: ‘We have no clues’,” Marie Griffis, Haleigh’s maternal grandmother said about their latest briefing from investigators.

Volunteers are still coming from around the state with offers to help.  Some of them searched the area around Haleigh’s house Saturday on horseback., while others came to just pray with the family.  The family hopes Haleigh’s appearance on America’s Most Wanted will reach a whole new group of people that don’t normally watch the news.  Haleigh’s family still believe she is alive and they send the following  message to anyone who might know where Haleigh could be.

“Whoever might have Haleigh, please just take her somewhere,” Griffis said. “Call 911 and say ‘I’m dropping this child off here,’ and drop her off and go.”

Anyone with information relating to Haleigh’s disappearance should call Crimestoppers at 888-277-TIPS.

The more time that passes the lower the chances are that this little girl will be found alive.  Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

Another beautiful child taken from the people that love her. Crimes against children are the worst of any crime in my opinion. Any adult human being who can even consider doing something to a child is a monster. How dare any adult prey on, scare or hurt an innocent child. I know these people are sick but a lot of them know it’s wrong and still do it. I pray for all the children past, present and future because sadly, it doesn’t look like this type of crime will ever go away.
