Prosecution turns over more discovery to the defense in the Casey Anthony case today
The prosecution turned over more evidence to the defense in the case against Casey Anthony today. It included emails sent from OC investigators to the lab that tested some of the evidence, 3D photos of the crime scene, and a photo of a child’s shirt with the words “Big Trouble” on it. They also gave the defense videos taken by Jim Hoover of PI Dominic Casey searching the wooded area near the Anthony home a month before Caylee’s remains were found.
Meanwhile, in the civil case Zenaida Gonzales brought against Casey Anthony, emails sent to the judge in charge of the case played a part in forcing George and Cindy to face questioning under oath. The emails pointed out that George and Cindy went to Putnam County to search for Haleigh Cummings, but told the judge they hadn’t made any public appearances since Caylee’s remains were found in December. They argued that they weren’t emotionally fit to answer the questions, but have been ordered to do just that on tape on April 9th. A Wednesday hearing concerning this matter was cancelled.

The discovery turned over today should be available to the public today or tomorrow.
I don’t know if the line of questioning in the Zenaida case is relevant in any way to that particular case, but I don’t think the Anthonys should have been given special treatment because they were not “emotionally ready” to answer the questions. They would not have been able to accompany KidFinder’s to “look” for Haleigh if that were the case–how emotionally draining would it have been to search for another little girl 2 months after their own granddaughter’s remains were discovered??? If they could do that, then they can answer questions under oath. JMO
