Leonard Padilla to be deposed in Zenaida Gonzale’s civil suit

March 23, 2009

leonard-pBounty hunter Leonard Padilla will be testifying in Zenaida Gonzale’s civil suit against Casey Anthony.  Lenny was supposed to testify on Wednesday, but her attorneys want to depose Cindy and George Anthony first.  They are scheduled to be deposed in April, and Padilla has been re-scheduled for May.

The owner of the land where Caylee’s body was discovered has put it up for sale.  Leonard has made a $50,000.00 offer to buy it.  It’s not yet known if the offer was accepted.

read it below

Again, why is he being deposed?  What purpose could there be in asking him questions about what he knew about Zenaida Gonzales?  I fail to see her attorney’s reasoning.

The only thing I can think of is that Casey talked to Leonard about Zenaida at the house, ya know then he got thrown out. They probably have to talk to him because of that. And he’ll tell them!!! lol

IAMTM What do you think LP’s intention is for the property, if his offer is accepted? On NG he stated that he
made his offer with intention on giving it back to the county. Do you think that is an honorable thing to do as long
as it is not an issue with the surrounding homeowner’s.

Good Morning looks like her attorney is trying to get the lime light on his case by deposing everyone connected to the matter if it pertains to his part of the case or not…he gets their case in the news!!

LP wants the land to erect a memorial for Caylee..he would give the land to the county thus he would not be responsible for taxes or the maintenance of the property. LP gets the publicity for creating a memorial to Caylee and the county would get the responsibility of maintaining it and no taxes no money for the would cost them!!!

I think it’s in poor taste to even think about a memorial on this site…after all this is where she was dumped like garbage..not exactly a place one wants to remember…if he would like to make a memorial why not find a piece of property and erect a memorial to Caylee and all the other children who’s fate has been the same as hers…murdered and missing children..the memorial could be to Caylee and in honor of Caylee to all the other children…
LP wants this property to make a point …he gets his name out there and should he do it gets back at G&C…having the memorial next door..
that’s taking it a bit far..don’t you think???

I read that he was going to give it back to the county and he has hopes to put a memorial there as well. I guess there’s nothing wrong with that, and I agree it would be really hard on George and Cindy–although, it’s going to be really hard on them whether anything is there or not. The more I think about it, though, if it were me, I might like a little park or something there with a few benches, and flowers. They might get some comfort from that.

Good Morning Mystery: Oh here we go again with Leonard Padilla. I continue to be amazed that a man who spent less than a week and confirmed that there was nothing of value that he found out from Casey Anthony upon bonding her out of jail is still going strong in this case. As far as the attorney’s wanting to depose him, well maybe they are just deposing everyone whose name has ever been mentioned in this case, but to me he is contuing to ride the coat tails for personal gain. Yes he claims that he has a place in his heart for this baby as he is a grand father. Well, no matter what we all are she has captured many of our hearts. I still feel like even if his intentions are good, they look bad.
As far as him wanting to purchase the land to erect a memorial for Caylee. I personally think it is in horrible taste. Who wants to visit a place that a baby was thrown away like garbage. Who would feel good about going there and finding it peaceful? I cannot imagine god forbid if it was my child ( Not speaking of Casey Anthony, but of any murdered child) that I would want to have a continual reminder of her little body discarded there. That is what it would be to me, a continual reminder that my child laid there for six months alone waiting to be found and put to rest. I cannot imagine it would not make visitors recount this horrible tragedy that this baby suffered at the hands of her mother.
If Leonard Padilla wants to do something positive in Caylee’s name, then why doesn’t he take the 50,000.00 and donate it to CHILD HELP? This is an awesome organization who serves in helping the victims of abuse and fights to stop abuse. They have facilities all over and have helped thousands of families and children. I was introduced to them through the company whose line of products I use at work and they truly are amazing. 50,000.00 would help so much and be something more positive than a morbid memorial site that will do nothing to honor this baby’s memory.
If you all would like to see for yourself what a great organization this is got to:

GREAT IDEA Halfpint! If he has that kind of money to throw around, use it to benefit living children. Although, I have to disagree with you about doing something with the place where she was found. I believe a positive could result from this awful negative. Whether Caylee was thrown away like garbage or not, it was where she was. I don’t think it would be disrespectful to acknowledge that. A children’s park would be a nice way to honor the memory of a live Caylee. JMO

Mystery: I guess I didn’t think of the memorial being like that. Yes if it were a park or a useful piece of land then I guess it would not be a morbid thing. When i heard it all I could see was some shrine like statue of Caylee or something… A park, yeah that would be nice.

I would rather see that site made into a park like area than to have some stranger buy it then chop down the trees, lay a slab of concrete & build an office building there. I think its going to be more of a memorial park in her name than a statue erected there. Either way the Anthony’s probably can’t go there & look at that site. Oh I forgot, Cindy did go there once to take the gifts & memorials left there for Caylee.
I give a grateful nod to Leonard for once again stepping forward & putting his money down in the name & memory of Caylee. AGAIN, not too many people doing that. If anyone did any research on Leonard they would find out he does a lot for children in Sacramento & the surrounding area & also for the homeless & numerous others that are down on their luck.
