Larry King asked George and Cindy Anthony a lot of the right questions–but he forgot to question the answers!
So, I watched Larry King’s interview last night and I have to say he asked a lot of the right questions –he just didn’t question the answers.
(He DID say there were thousands of people that wrote in to comment about George and Cindy and that the majority of them were negative.)

The most important question of the night that WASN’T ASKED?
How are you supporting yourselves if you are not taking money out of the foundation?
When asked if salaries would be coming from the foundation to the the officers, Cindy said they are not profiting in any way and neither are any other officers within the foundation. Larry King never questioned the answer.
EXCERPT ABOUT THE FOUNDATION FROM LK SCRIPT:
Soooooo, the question remains: How are you supporting yourselves, Anthonys? It’s certainly not on all the “love” you claim the family has for each other or the “love and devotion” Casey had for Caylee. Last time I looked, “love don’t pay the bills……” So, who is and how?
Also would like to know where it says that the duct tape was NOT attached to the hair or skull as Cindy insisted it was not last night. The released discover on February 18, 2009 clearly states otherwise by more than one officer. Do the forensics tell a different story?
Here’s what I’ve found in the discovery:
from page 3 of released docs
from page 5 of released docs
from page 42 of released docs
and where does it NOT say a heart sticker had been attached to the duct tape?
from page 8 0f the released docs
Then there was the altercation between Cindy and her attorney Brad Conway. Brad said the diary was released with the docs. Cindy interupted and insisted the diary was not–that in fact she has the diary. When Larry asked how the information got into the public arena, she insinuated that it was leaked. Well, Brad was right and Cindy was wrong, she either didn’t remeber or she lied. Below is a photograph of the diary page released in the discovery docs on 2/18/2009.
There were lots of questions answered in the standard Anthony fashion.
In response to LK’s question, “Do you still support your daughter?” The used their pat answer, “We support our daughter….blah blah blah.”
LK: (and I’m paraphrasing this exchange) “We asked the prosecution to make a statement and they said they would not discuss the trial. But, they have released info?” Conway: Yes, they’ve released thousands of pages of documents…” King: “Pretrial? ” Conway “Yes” (No one mentions the Florida Sunshine Law of course and that the Prosecution is obligated to release to the public any discovery released to the defense…..)
Cindy skirted over the question LK asked about whether they are looking for the “real” killer. She responded by saying she has an investigator still looking into Caylee’s death and the defense has an investigator and that now she is just trying to make something good come out of their tragedy.
When Cindy did her “Casey is the best Mom” routine…….LK should have followed up with: If she was such a good Mom why did you threaten to take the child away from her?
When Cindy claimed all the pictures but 1 were taken before Caylee disappeared–not true. Then she backtracked and said they were taken on one night. LK should have followed up by putting all the pictures up on a monitor for Cindy to comment on.
When Cindy said the smell in the car wasn’t any different from “the sour smell from her refrigerator…I just wanted to get the police out to my house”..LK should have said, but you’re a nurse. You know the smell of decomp and you said it smelled like a dead body in the car. That was a macabre thing to say for shock value, don’t you think?
Then there was George and Cindy’s written response to critics—
“A message to everyone that wants to see something good come from a tragedy. The last 9 months have been a living hell for my family and no one could possibly understand. There is no reason for any of this and there are no answers that will ever make things better.
How does one deal with things they do not understand? Everyone deals with their emotions differently. Some keep things bottled up, others get angry and look only for the negative. With a good support system, anyone can deal with these emotions and turn them into a positive outcome. This is what our family is trying to do by creating Caylee Marie’s foundation. Doing so will give us a focus off the negative and allow us to heal by helping others.
We know that the months ahead will be difficult; however, we are willing to move ahead and turn the tragic loss of our Caylee into a living tribute to her very existence. You see the love in our family is strong, and no matter what will be placed in our path, our love for her will be the driving force.
Some want us to do things differently, to those who disagree with what we do, all I can say to them is that this is our way to cope. This is our way to grieve, and our way to honor our Caylee Marie.”
