George and Cindy Anthony attend National Missing Children’s Day event in Daytona Beach
Speedpark Motorsports in Daytona along with Take 25, a program from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were the sponsors. The events purpose was to remember and look for clues in some high profile missing children’s cases. George and Cindy Anthony were there. (their granddaughter, of course, was not a missing child–she was a murdered child.) The free event was to encourage parents to talk to their kids about child safety. Dozens of families came out to bring attention to thousands of missing kids, including the family of Trenton Duckett. “Team Trenton” handed out flyers hoping someone would recognize Trenton.
“It’s not too hard to come out to do these events people talk to you. You share your stories with each other, and just continue to move forward,” said Josh Duckett.
Take 25 estimates 2,200 children are reported missing every day in the U.S. Some are found quickly while others are not.
