Casey Anthony’s defense team’s deposition transcripts of Sgt. Billy Richardson and Lt.Tammy Uncer released! Did they slip under the radar??

July 26, 2009

Sgt Billy Richardson depoCall me crazy, but I don’t remember seeing these before, or any of the defense’s deposition transcripts.

This is the deposition taken April 2, 2009 Linda Kenney Badenby the defense of Sgt. Billy Richardson, the officer that escorted Casey Anthony to the infirmary the day Caylee’s remains were discovered, and the transcript of Tammy Uncer’s deposition taken May 5, 2009.  Uncer told investigators about a conversation she heard between Casey Anthony and Baez . She also talked about Casey Anthony’s medical history while in the jail.

These documents were sent by Baez’ office to the court clerk June 1, 2009.  Linda Kenney-Baden is the main interviewer with a few asides by Jose Baez.

Guess they just snuck these by us?

Mystery~~thanks for making this post. I just suffered thru the deposition of Richardson. I think Linda was almost badgering poor Bill until she got the answers she wanted. If that is any indication on how she would cross-examine, the trial will take a couple years. She comes across as a bully and tries to back a person into a corner. Baez mentioned that he thinks that someone may be listening in on his conversations with Casey thru the intercom.

Same kind of thing on the Uncer transcript. Almost badgering. Baez interceded at one point when Uncer said she wouldn’t call what was being done to Casey mean or cruel. He managed to get her to change and say it was mean and cruel. I agree her style of questioning is very tedious.

I heard these depositions a week or so ago. It was maddening to see how much they badger witnesses. Is that what we can expect in court?

I must have missed this, Bees, because I never saw them. Are there audios out there, or just the transcripts?

Mystery thanks for bringing this to us. I had not read these before. I’m only part way through Richardson’s, as we lost power for several hours. So far though, I had to comment, I’m worried about how much it looks like they set Casey up on this. I hope they didn’t violate her rights. I remember reading in some of the documents that Uncer had said that Casey heard it on the radio and asked to see the tv. If they set her up, this is not good. I will finish reading before I worry too much.

Hi ya itsamystery! Yes, these were out on 2 June 2009! I find it much easier to read things in this case than listen too! 🙂

Sgt. Richardson has never been interviewed before in all of his 24 yrs! He didn’t sound too thrilled to be interviewed now either.
Sounds like somewhere along the way somebody came up with the idea to have Casey brought there to watch the news on the tv & witness her reaction. It doesn’t seem like her rights were violated, plus she was eager to go to find out what was happening.
I’ve only read Richardsons so far, my computer went into overload.

I don’t know if it can really be called a set-up, but what I took away as the most important point from these interviews is that the sheriff’s dept. requested she be plunked down in front of the television and her reactions were to be noted and recorded, and that both Richardson and Uncer felt the whole incident was unique. As far as their own knowledge was concerned, they had never known the sheriff’s office to request such a thing before. Her reaction was secondary to that.

    Hi humble!

Well, I guess I’ve been camped out under a rock for the past month and 1/2 cuz’ I missed it altogether!

Molly, yes it sounded like she wanted to know what was going on, but she didn’t request to be put in front of a television or to go to the infirmary. It sounds like she thought she was told she was going to see the doctor. They also stated they wanted her reaction BEFORE Baez got there. That may all be completely within the scope of the law, I don’t know. I hope so.

When I wonder if it was a set-up, I think about that old adage ‘you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink’.

They led Casey to the water and the ol’ horseface shoved her whole head under the water and dang near drowned herself.

When your most well-thought out plans consist of tossing dead bodies in trash bags into empty wooded lots and making up jobs and nannys to cover your butt, your shouldn’t be suprised into an anxiety attack when your tactics already bought you multiple months of reasonable doubt.

Mystery, it seems to me that I did hear audio with at least one of the guards. But honestly, sometimes they get all jumbled up in my mind.

That (above) didn’t come out right. Sounds like I’m experiencing some mental confusion. Well . . . actually . . . I, I don’t . . . can’t . . . I, well . . . Ostella keeps conjuring up these horrific images of Baez on tip toe in a onesie for me and no doubt THAT is why I feel all jumbled up. I’m going to go and try eyedrops. BBL.

I imagine that Judge Strickland will make the final decision as to whether it can be shown at trial. I feel confident that he will make the right decision. Heaven knows, he doesn’t want to give the defence a reason for an appeal!

I still believe that the devilish “angel of death row” will end up making some kind of plea deal to save Casey’s a$$ from death penalty. Personally, I would prefer DP to sitting in a dank cell for fifty or more years.

Daisey, I think you are right about Lyon. I agree with Niecey–this won’t go to court. They’ll settle.

OK, this is way off subject, but if Shepherd’s Pie (which I first thought was some kind of snazzy euphemism for Farmboy Poontang… but that is a whole other story) is made with lamb and Cottage Pie (which I always thought was the nickname the dwarves used for Snow Not-so-White) is made with beef (which would seem to make it Beef Pot Pie…), why do they call it Cottage Cheese (which I don’t believe has any beef)?

OMG Spacely, I almost wet my pants I’m laughing so hard! But, ya know, it got me thinkin’ and I had to look it up–Cottage cheese is called that because————drum roll—————-
this simple cheese was usually made in cottages from any milk leftover after making butter. (cottager’s cheese) The term was first used in the mid 1800’s.

Mystery…Spacely & I go waaaay back {well at least last year} when we were both on another blog…his sense of humor has always been a great source of enjoyment…not to mention his words of wisdom when discussing the maggot and her duhfense 🙄

See you both on the next 2 blogs 😆
