Padilla & Co. tapes to be released to the public in the next few weeks and Andrea Lyon prepares to make her first major statement after Labor Day

The state attorney’s office will be releasing hours of audio taped police interviews with the Padillas, Tracy McLaughlin, and Rob Dick, now that Baez lost his motion asking that they to be muzzled.

Sometime next week or the week after, they will release the interviews under the Florida Sunshine Law. Tracy McLaughlin’s interview will be looked at closely as she spent 9 days in the Anthony household.  Sources said she developed a bond with Casey.

Andrea Lyon laughingAndrea Lyon, one of Casey Anthony’s attorneys, will be making her first major statement in this case shortly after Labor Day. She will speak in the form of a motion that argues there is insufficent evidence to support a murder charge against Casey.

IMO, she will have to put on a better game face than she has in her previous appearances!  Even then she will have a realllyyy hard time explaining why she thinks there’s not enough evidence to convict Caylee’s loving mother.

Hiya Mystery…thanks for the update. We can expect lots of smoke and mirrors from Ms Lyon…gotta remember that she considers it a WIN if she gets the DP off the table.

IMO the fraud will be postponed until after the murder trial. The defense will state that any reference to Amy + money will be prejudicial to the fraud case…hope the State does some fancy footwork to allow sufficient to prove their case.

One thing is for sure…I will need a new monitor if KC “walks” next year.

Hi Mystery…I was really surprised to hear she would make a statement that there is insufficient evidence to support a murder charge against Casey. Will she use the fact that they can’t say exactly how Caylee died. Or was there maybe something in the last discovery they received that they are going to try and spin?
The defense will have a tough time explaining away the mountain of circumstantial evidence of premeditation, imo. It is one thing to explain away a couple things or even a handful of things. But, there is just too much to try and explain away. From Casey’s behavior before Caylee was killed to her behavior after she was killed. Along with her own words and not reporting it for 31 days(which she didn’t report). To top that off her parents pick up a car that smells like death that should have their daughter and granddaughter in and don’t call LE. Of course Cindy tells her co-workers and Amy about the smell and not seeing Caylee for a month. Even they told Cindy to go home and call LE…she didn’t. She also told Amy if she didn’t find Casey…Casey would end up in jail…I wonder why? If I was a juror using common sense…this would tell me they knew Casey was responsible. They probably thought an accident, but they knew Casey was responsible, imo. There are many more things to top it off, but I do think it says a lot when even your family thinks your responsible. This is just my opinion of course, but I can’t come up with one reason that makes any sense to not call LE when they knew what that smell was.
I just can’t see how Lyons is going to spin all of this to say the state has insufficient evidence.

Mystery if you are getting any rain…can you please send it a little South, lol.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

No way!! Andrea will not pull this one off. Furthermore, Casey’s lawyers claim that they have proof that Casey is innocent and did not kill her daughter. Well why don’t they get the case on the docket now!! Get into court, present the proof to the judge and get Casey exonerated. Set her free. If she is truly innocent (which she is not) why would they wait for almost a year to prove it? Why would they allow Casey to sit in jail so long? Baez, et als are running scared. They are trying to call the prosecution’s bluff.

Oh paleeaase! Well, we’re gonna see the actress Lyons on the court stage. This will be interesting…..

I agree, if she’s so innocent, why all of the big delays? Not to mention motion after motion after motion trying to keep people & “damning” evidence out of court???

Stranger things have happened! (can you say O.J?) Let’s just hope and pray that this evil girl is not turned back out in the world!

Perhaps, before the judge, Andrea will play a sweet motherly sort for Casey to show how poor Casey had such anl overbearing mother that she couldn’t even think or breathe. Casey then went partying, not because it was fun, but because it was an escape for her and all the mind-control that told her she was a big nothing at her parent’s home. This is when Casey will nod slightly and tear up, the first parental-type love and understanding she’s ever been given in her 23 years.

And that’s what it all is–spin. She’s just spinning her wheels and taking up the court’s time, IMO.

No rain here–I’d send ya some if I could! We’re supposed to be getting some today. I woke up this morning to a very cool 60 degrees outside–which was awesome as my husband is building a deck around our pond. It’s been miserable hot til this week.

I agree with you. No way will they pull this off! I’ll eat my hat if they do–well, I would eat my hat if I had one!

    Molly,

I personally am looking forward to seeing Andrea in all her “glory”. So far she has not impressed! I think she is the product of an overly enthusiastic publicist cuz’ I think she “ain’t all that!”

It doesn’t matter how she plays it, nothing could justify killing that precious little girl.

I agree Joyce. Lyon won’t pull this off. There’s an interesting article (below) where she says it is never a good thing to call your client innocent. She says the problem with that is, now that you’ve publicly declared she’s innocent, if the jury finds her NOT innocent there’s nothing the defense can say now without looking like the liars they are. They can’t now say, “Oh, she was ugly-coping” or “It was an accident etc.” They are now locked into the innocent strategy.

Bozo has behaved like an idiot right from the start. No frigging wonder it took him so long to pass the bar!!! He doesn’t care whether or not his client gets the best deal. Anyone who still believes that can probably be convinced that maggots grow on old pizza! Snort!

Here’s an encouraging comment from another WP blog. Mystery, I hope you don’t mind me leaving someone else’s comment here.

“Speaking of Todd Black. Although Baez has been cleared on Casey’s complaint, there is STILL an open bar complaint against the attorney. The complaint involves Baez’s relationship with his former spokesman, a man known as Todd Black, who sent out press releases on Baez’s behalf. Black was later discovered to be a convicted felon. It is not clear when the investigation into that complaint will be complete.

Does it bother anyone else that everyone in the MSM is missing that there’s one down-one to go?”

I personally forgot about this and it’s just bad reporting that the media didn’t mention it!! If they did, I missed it.
