Jose Baez cleared by the Florida Bar in 2nd ethics probe this week
Jose Baez has been cleared by the Florida Bar in yet another ethics probe.
He was being investigated over accusations that he was “receiving fees on the Casey Anthony case with an agreement to publicize her story.”
The complaint was filed by a woman named Shannon Stoy of Pennington, NJ. Her connection to the case was not immediately known.
The complaint also accused Baez of receiving services from a company called PMC “that could be considered non-client party compensation.”
Baez was questioned in regard to the allegations and the Bar found “insufficient evidence” that he had violated any rules.
Baez provided a statement saying his agreement with Casey contains no clause that would allow him to gain financially from her story. He said the services he received from PMC were “provided gratuitously.”
