The complaint that put Hank Croslin Jr, Misty Croslin’s brother, behind bars on a grand theft charge
Here’s a link to the police report with Mr. Martin Marvin’s complaint against Hank Thomas Croslin Jr. and his mother, Lisa Croslin.
It gives specifics as to why Tommy Croslin was arrested. According to the Sheriff’s Dept., last Friday, the victim, Marvin Martin, told deputies that he wanted to file charges against Hank Jr. (Tommy) for stealing his .38 caliber Colt revolver.
Tommy and his mother had come into his house to use the phone (theirs was disconnected) and Tommy went to the bathroom while his mom called someone. Later, Mr. Martin, who is elderly and legally blind, found the gun missing and knew they must have had something to do with it. The victim called Hank’s sister-in-law and told her he knew either Hank or his mom took his gun and he wanted it back or he would involve the police. A few hours later, Hank’s mother and dad brought the gun to him. His mother said that Hank stole it and hid it in the shed behind his house. Mr. Martin said he wasn’t really sure whether it was Hank or his mother that did it, but he suspected it was Hank.
When the deputy tried to go interview Hank’s mother she wasn’t home. He went back a few days later and still no one was there, but someone told him that she and Hank Sr. had moved to Tennessee over the weekend and weren’t coming back. They then put out a warrant out for Tommy’s arrest. Art Harris of The Bald Truth spoke with Flora Hollars, Lisa Croslin’s mother, and she said Lisa and Hank Sr. were moving to Nashville to find work since there were no jobs in Satsuma.
Hank appeared before a judge Wednesday but there was no reduction in bond and it wasn’t clear whether he would hire a lawyer or have one appointed.
According to Art Harris of The Bald Truth, the pressure has begun. He said Misty Croslin raised some eyebrows when she revealed under hypnosis that she remembered some kind of dream that involved 4 shadowy people the night Haleigh vanished. Investigators hadn’t heard that from her before.
He also said that Tim Miller told him that Ron Cummings admitted to him to putting the rat in Tommy’s mailbox even though he denied it to police. Misty backed him up with the authorities by saying he was with her that night. According to Miller, “Ron said he wanted to see how good Misty could lie to the police so he could tell how good she was lying to him.”
Harris also spoke with Lisa Croslin’s sister, and she complained that her son, Joe Overstreet, (the cousin of Misty’s that was visiting when Haleigh turned up missing, but was not considered a suspect) was re-interviewed after the arrest. He was apparently kept at the Sheriff’s office “all night.”

If the police play this right, they may get Tommy to talk. He knows something or Ron wouldn’t have stuck that rat in his mailbox to scare him. I’m not too sure I buy Ron’s story that he’s trying to test Misty’s lying ability.
Misty has insinuated that Tommy might have something to do with Haleigh’s disappearance. She’s trying to throw him under the bus. Now, maybe he deserves to be under the bus, or maybe he doesn’t. If he doesn’t he’d be a fool not to spill his guts. Obviously, because of that high bond the judge set, the police think that one way or the other, he’s involved, and they’re using his stupidity to give them a reason to hold on to him for awhile.
And why did they re-interview Joe Overstreet?
“Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead.”
