Individual document summaries:
of interest to me: Investigators think Caylee was intentionally placed in the “Trouble Comes In Small Packages.” t-shirt, (pg 3-4)and a rug was taken from the porch at the home that lit up under an alternate light source. As they weren’t sure where Caylee was killed they wanted it tested. (pg 13-14)
of interest to me:
….collected from trashbag found in vehicle. OCSO CSI collected hairs from a napkin on int. of bag. Note. Originally grandfather told police that trash bag was in trunk–THEN CHANGED STORY (emphasis mine) and said bag came from body of vehicle. Wrecking co. that towed abandoned vehicle noted they didn’t know where bag was located. Believe it may be from trunk.
pg: 78 & 79:
2 hairs found from trash. 1 atached to napkin and other located over the piece of napkin that was inside the box.
pg: 91: 11/5/08. Napkins from trashbag in car were sent to an entomologist–that examiner noted “coffin flies’ being present as well as ‘grave wax’ or ‘death wax’
definition of coffin flies: Coffin flies or scuttle flies, are minute flies that run in a jerky manner and appear to be ‘hunchbacked’. They are most active at an exposed body after butyric fermentation has begun and when the corpse is starting to dry.
definition of ‘grave wax’: a water-insoluble material consisting mostly of saturated fatty acids. It is formed by the slow hydrolysis of fats in decomposing material such as a human cadaver by action of anaerobic bacteria.
