It’s snowing—again!

February 11, 2010

The view from my studio window this morning!  Tonight it’s still coming down.  They’re saying this year is the most snow on record for Oklahoma.

I love it!

Oh….Thank you so much for posting your magnificent photos of your property.

The snow looks to be heavy and wet……I’ve been there and done that too.

My favorite thing to do was to go out at night and walk on our dirt road….the air was crisp
and so very still……it was so peaceful that if snow was falling you could hear that too.

You brought back memories and I thank you so very much.

I miss the snow here in NC at the ocean…..again thank you.

Thanks, Christine! It was beautiful outside and you are right–it was very wet and heavy. It only lasted about a day and 1/2. We’ve had two other brief snows since then but nothing stuck. This set some kind of record in our state for snowfall. We really rarely have snow, so this winter has been unusual!

Snow or the ocean–hmmmmm. Think I’d rather have the ocean!

Just magical! Looks like a postcard. We’ve had a little snow where I live, nothing like this though! I’ve been feeding the birds…keep having to pour hot water in bird baths because the water keeps freezing!

    Stay warm!

Hi Hadley! I’m so glad to hear you feed the birds, too! I don’t have to worry about the water in the water baths freezing because we have several ponds that have waterfalls. The birds perch on the ledges and drink. The running water keeps the ponds from freezing over.

humbleopinion, thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures. I live in North Louisiana & we had a snow fall. Its a “big deal here,” school is out, LOL, & lots of snowmen.

Hadley, thats a great thought, the birds. I am going to take care of them now!

It’s a big deal here, too. Snowmen everywhere!

Hey Mystery! What beautiful pics! What a site. It snowed here in Florida today. Yes Florida, but it didn’t stick. It was pretty though. It may be cold, but it is beautiful.

Snow in Florida, blows my mind, Niecey!! There’s just something not right about snow there!

Hi Mystery! Good to see you! Wow, what a Winter Wonderland! I hope you have lots of fun making snowmen. Throw a snowball or two just for $hits and giggles 😆

Your pics are making me crave hot cocoa with marshmallows, and gingerbread cookies….

Hi Eggy-O! I did just that, and it was just as fun as I remember! Well, maybe more fun because my little man was having such a great time! He loved eating it, and I wish I’d thought to make snow ice cream. Didn’t think of it, though! We did have cocoa with marshmallows after.
