Judge Strickland signs deadlines order in the Casey Anthony case
Judge Strickland signed an order today setting Casey Anthony’s trial date as May 9, 2011. He also (wisely) set a timeline for all issues that need to be taken care of before then. This date is pushed back one week from the prosecutors suggested start date. It also gives the defense more time to get their act together get everything done. He gave their experts an extra month to review review evidence and depose witnesses.
Depositions of expert witnesses: deadline September 30, 2010.
Expert witnesses must be revealed, expert witness reports filed, motions for forensic related evidence found filed: deadline November 30, 2010.
Evidence review by defense expert witnesses: deadline October 31, 2010.

It is about time. HaHa! #6 just registered in my brain. Of course, that probably is stated in all such orders.
midget–
That about says it all. LOL
Judge Strickland has the patience of Jobe with the Defense.
He is doing his level best to make certain that Casey and Co. have all their
ducks lined up…..granting extra time (a month) to review and depose……ya think
they’ll get it straight now?
Or will there be more motions coming down the pike from D-fense???
Good Lord, let’s hope not.
I’m getting old just waiting for this circus to get started!!! and want to be around
for the end.
LOL

I think the defense will stretch that rope til it breaks. My guess is that Strickland will have to address this all again in the future.
Well maybe will all this time before trial, Zanny will finally be found and Casey will be proven innocent…….just like Jose said. 🙂 Ha ha ha ha
Thanks *Mystery.

In a new motion the defense writes “the media has used multiple photos in order to vilify her as a ‘party girl’ who must be responsible for her daughter’s death.”
There’s also a list of statements submitted by the defense that they want no mention of at Anthony’s trial.
Some of those statements include the infamous 911 call when Cindy Anthony said “it smelled like a dead body in the car.”
Or when George Anthony said to a tow truck worker “the daughter is telling us crap, a bunch of lies.”
It also includes statements Roy Kronk made to former deputy Richard Cain.
Her team said it’s unfair to the case, and a jury should never hear about it.
The defense wants it all tossed out on the basis that its hearsay evidence
Thanks for the link Susan, and update Mikka. I just posted on it!
Well, pictures speak a thousand words don’t they. sorry baez, thank your “girl” for that!
the pics taken during the 31 day period are pretty damning anyway.
They will NEVER throw out that 911 call made by cindy, because it was made by cindy & not by casey (who it should have been). that’s part of this whole story.

I tend to agree with you about the 911 calls and the pictures taken during that 31 days. Spacely made a good argument under the most current post for why her actions even before then are relevant. If the prosecution plans to go with pre-meditated murder they would need to show that her actions prior to Caylee’s disappearance show she was planning to kill her.
