2 year old Emmett Trap is missing!

August 3, 2010

Another little boy in Arizona has disappeared.  Emmett Trap, aged 2 “wandered off” while his mom was taking a nap.  He was wearing a pj top and a diaper with no shoes and it’s believed he was accompanied by his dog (the dog  was later found).  Emmett is 3′ tall and weighs 26 lb.

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies along with search and rescue personnel are looking for two-year-old Emmett Trap.  Emmett was reported missing by his mother at around 8 pm last night, according to a YCSO spokesman.

Foul play is not suspected at this time, according to YCSO spokesman, Dwight D’Evelyn.   Police also say there is no known connection between Emmett’s disappearance and the disappearance of 2 year old Sylar Newton from the Beaver Creek Campground.

Anyone who has seen Emmett Trap or has information on his whereabouts are asked to dial 9-1-1 or call the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 771-3260.

I pray this little boy is found safe soon.  He’s been missing for close to 24 hours.

The media called the home and spoke to the mother who DID NOT want to be interviewed about this story. One would think that the more people know about the case, the quicker they would find Emmett. However, she declined and hung up.
When the media called back several times, the calls were unanswered. Whether the woman was upset I can understand, but to refuse to have the story put on the TV news, is another thing.
I pray they find this child safe and sound.

Swift Justice…..I saw that on Nancy Grace. I agree with you,it is strange why she would not welcome the coverage. I would be getting his little face out there any way I could.

Mystery…..Don’t know what this world is coming to. Everyday another one is missing.
Thanks for keeping us updated on these beautiful children.

Hoping for all of them to come home soon.

I saw that on Nancy Grace as well. 2 reasons I can think of as to why this woman wouldn’t want to talk to the media: She was so frightened and distraught that she wasn’t thinking straight, or 2. She didn’t want the bright lights of the press shining down on her for some reason. I’m going to go with #1 for now. We don’t really know enough yet to make a judgement. I will say that when a small child wanders off like that, they don’t usually go far before they are found. 24 hours has passed with no sign of Emmett….

It is so sad, isn’t it? I hate to think it, but it doesn’t look good for this little boy at this point either. I really hope there is no connection between his disappearance and Sylar’s.
