Who is Caylee Anthony’s father?
There has been lots of speculation as to who the daddy of Caylee could be–and that speculation has included a lot of guys. Most have been discounted. More than likely Caylee was the result of a one-night stand and Casey doesn’t have a clue who he is.
What she has said at various times:
1) Caylee’s father was killed in a car accident the day of her 1st birthday.
2) He was a married man with a child and he didn’t want his family to know he was the father.
3) He was in the military.
4) He was the result of a one-night stand.
Below are a few of the guys that have, at one time or another, been in the running as Caylee’s father. Have I left anyone out?
JOSH O’BARR
It is highly unlikely–maybe even impossible that Josh O’Barr is Caylee 
Anthony’s
biological father. He received a severe back injury in a hit and run auto accident 2 years before Caylee was born. He was in constant severe pain and had back surgery in 2004 around the time Caylee was conceived. His family says they did not know Casey and that he was too ill at the time of Caylee’s conception to have had sex with anyone. Several of his family members have offered to give DNA to prove it wasn’t him. Josh killed himself right before Caylee’s first birthday.

JP CHATT
Many people think Caylee looked a lot like JP Chatt, and rumors have swirled that he 
might have been Caylee’s father. It has been said that he does not like Casey Anthony.

Brandon Snow, (he says he was not in town when Caylee was conceived) Caylee told her friend Annie that she had a miscarriage with Brandon. She also told her she had imagined a life with him.

According to Jonathan Daly, Casey told him that the father of Caylee was in the military. Casey had called Mark and told him she was coming to California and she had something to tell him and didn’t know how he would take it.

Jesse was Casey’s fiance and actually thought he was the father of Caylee. He later found out he was not after requesting a paternity test.
It's a mystery to me! 
Mark Hawkins, mainly because of his eyes. However, I really doubt it’s him. I don’t think she KNOWS who the father is.
I don’t think she does either–and that’s probably the way she wanted it–or at least Cindy did.
JP Pratt is Caylee’s twin!
They can still do a DNA test. Don’t worry about crasey or the A’s! You’ll never get the truth out of them and it’s not like anything embarrasses them. I bet Crasey is proud of her burrito licking pictures ( shaking head ) and C&G don’t mind the media attention, just make sure that you buy a Have you seen Caylee? purse, a pin or a t-shirt.
I think there’s definitely a resemblence to JP Chatt, but who Caylee really looks like is Cindy. A little mini-Cindy.
If I were a guy that knew there was a possibility that Caylee could have been mine, I don’t know that I’d want to do a DNA test and find out. It would be awful to find out after the fact that my baby was murdered and I might have been able to do something to prevent it.
Hi Mystery,If anyone of these guys could be Caylee’s Dad then there is two that i think favor Caylee, JP Chatt and Josh OBARR, Josh has more the skin color tone of Caylee of my two choices, but then his family is saying it cannot be him due to his back injuries, so if that is the case then i would be back to only one, JP Chatt. You know cindy’s brother Rick said casey did not even know as she got drunk at a Christmas party i think is what he said, and banged several guys that nite. who knows as we are talking about losey goosey casey.
knight Owl–I really don’t think it was Josh O’Barr–His family insists that they don’t know Casey and that their son didn’t know her either. Maybe J.P. Chatt–I read somewhere she had a one night stand with him, but I can’t remember where I read it.

Isn’t it sad that the father of this beautiful little girl is unknown. If he had been responsible and involved, he might have saved her from her terrible fate. We need to raise our sons and daughters to be more moral so a little child has two loving parents instead of this kind of “sorry” mess. JMO

I agree that JP looks the most like her, but from everything I’ve read, they didn’t know each other until long after Caylee was born. They met when she was dating Ricardo, who was his roommate. My next guess would be Mark Hawkins. Then Jesus Ortiz.

I think she was gonna tell Mark Hawkins he was the daddy whether he was or he wasn’t. I think that was what she was talking about when she told him she had something important to tell him and she didn’t know how he would take it. I don’t necessarily believe it would have been the truth.
JESUS ORTIZ is out since he was killed in May and Caylee’s birthday is in august..Casey said her dad was kiiling on the way to her birthday party.That’s leave out Josh O’Barr too since he killed himself..JP claims he never met Casey until March or May of last year…I think the reason no one knows is because Casey doesn’t know herself.The reason she didn’t want to try to get support for her is because there would be a long line of men lined up for testing..She didn’t want to admit there was a certain father because it would have been too embarrassing to go down the line to find out.After Jesse she thought she better just stop right there.

Jill, Usually to clear your cache means to delete your temporary internet files. My computer with Windows XP is down so I can’t use it but on Windows 98 that I am using now, you right click on Start, then Settings, then choose Internet Options, click on the General tab and choose to delete temporary internet files. These are files that are stored on your computer when you visit different web sites. I try to empty these before I close my computer down. If you surf the web a lot, they can eventually slow down your computer and sometimes make it impossible to do what you want to. What ever system you are using, you should be able to find your temporary internet files. One way is to click Start, then Find, then files or folders , click on Name and Location Tab and type in temporary internet files, you will then get a list of files and folders, left click on the folder called temporary internet files and you will get a drop down menu where you can choose delete. If you right click on the folder you will get a list of all the files and you can choose which ones you want to delete. Two right clicks should also give you an explanation of how temporary internet files work and help you decide if you want to delete them all or not. I hope this helps. If this is not clear, try googling cache and read the comments. : )

The Anthony Clan will never opt to find out who the father is, it would open up yet another tell-all law suit against their holier than thou daughter via “wrongful death” law suit procedures if the sperm donor opted to do so. In those civil cases issues that are censored in criminal courts are a free-for-all.

He “was once part of Anthony’s team” . . . .discussing her state of mind at the time of the murder . . . .which seems to make clear, to me, that the legal team is informed and convinced she did murder Caylee ….. revealed by his excuses made on her behalf.
He made that statement in November. Was that prior to Caylee’s remains being found?

Sorry for double posting but had an after thought regarding this attorney’s statement: since the legal team made statements regarding Casey’s state of mind at the time of Caylee’s murder
…it would behoove the team, namely chatty Jose Baez and others, to cease and desist his mantra of “she’s innocent” whilst hinting another person is guilty to create ‘reasonable doubt’. A legal team creating yet more victims to save their client seems unethical.
It’s one thing to say “not guilty” (due to the plethora of excuses one can use such as mental state, crimes of passion, etc) and quite another to lie to the cameras with “she’s innocent” while your own team is making excuses as to why the murder occurred.
I agree with you, but it looks like they are holding firm with the “innocent” defense. None of these people seem to care one whit who they sell down the pike. Maybe with the death penalty back on the table they will re-think their strategy.
The resemblance to JP Chatt is remarkable! If he ever had anything to do with Casey he should take a DNA test. Everyone who ever had anything to do with Casey should be tested – not for paternity but for STDs.

I vaguely recall Casey claiming the same man who “referred” her to Zanny’s babysitting who had a son Zack was also pointed to as Caylee’s father but think it was Cindy who said so during a police interview.
But as Cindy has lived a life as a role model spinning stories to avoid accountability in life, it is no surprise she quotes her own daughter’s finely honed spins no matter who pays the damages with becoming, homeless, broke and destroyed lives in the process.
Let us not forget, Casey herself implied to friends that her brother AND father were sexually abusive which led to the horrific mindset that they too could be father to Caylee.
I remember that, too. His name was Jeff Hopkins. He’s never been located. There is a Jeff Hopkins she went to school with, but they were just passing acquaintances. She ran into him shortly before the s##t hit the fan and Cindy dragged her home.

Now, there’s a good question. I would think he would gain all rights to Caylee’s name, image, etc.? That would also mean he could keep the A’s from profiting off her memory.
I just feel that if there really was any speculation that JP Chatt was the father it would have been taken care of by now. Either by law enforcement or JP himself. At this point what would he have to lose? e wouldn’t be liable for any child support.
That being said, the resemblance is remarkable and his apparent dis like of Casey could speak volumes. Is he not able to stomach her because he knows that she has no problem bedding many different men, sometimes even on the same night? Did he at one point like her and then realized that she was a tramp? Did he know there was a possibility that this could have been his child and he thought she was worthless as a mother?

I went to high school with Casey Anthony. I’ve realized she has some truth in her lies. There is speculation that a guy named Mark Hawkins is the father too. There was a news report recently stating that Casey made claims the father was a guy she had a one night stand with who use to work with her at Universal. Well, guess what! Mark Hawkins went to Colonial High school AND worked at Universal as a security guard with her. They both worked at Universal together, and she is not lying when she said, “the guy had a girlfriend.” Mark did have a girlfriend and was going to be engaged soon after. That’s why she didn’t say anything because she didn’t want to ruin her relationship with Jesse either, so instead, she just told Jesse he was the father.
Early on in the investigation, Casey also claims that she was going to flee to California to tell a friend a secret that only her mother and brother knew. This friend that she was going to visit was Mark Hawkins. I firmly believe the news she was going to tell Mark was that he was the father of Caylee.
By the way, this is the BEST blog site I have researched regarding who the father may be. Great job on pictures, and detailed information of every individual involved in Casey’s “sex-capade.”

Thanks for commenting here. I didn’t realize she knew Mark Hawkins in high school. Someone else suggested that Caylee’s eyes looked like his. I agree with you that Casey’s MO is to spoon in a little truth with her lies–it makes it a little easier for her “victims” to swallow. I believe he could be a viable candidate for the dad but I still say she’s probably not 100% sure.

Deidre–He’s from a wealthy Puerto Rican family. I’ve never found a link between him and Casey BEFORE he became Ricardo’s roommate which would have him entering the picture to late to be Caylee’s father. Of course, that doesn’t mean they didn’t meet before then and (as it’s rumored) had a one-night stand.
Mark is not the father. He and Casey were friends. If there were any way he was Caylee’s father, he would have come forward and demanded a test.
I bet if ANY one of these guys thought they could be the father to that precious little girl, they would have come forward. Who wouldn’t want to claim her? She was so beautiful.

Lee Anthony was not the father of Caylee. No other testing was needed to prove that Lee was NOT the father of Caylee. It was proved conclusively.

They were simply checking for the mitochondrial dna when they tested Lee….he did not match.
George did. NO other NUCLEAR testing was done. Needed. of ANYONE. They knew. They are not tipping their hat (the prosecution). Casey involved the FBI once she called this a kidnapping. Not really. Yes, Hawkins is an Irish name, but Caylee wearing a 4 leaf clover shirt saying “kiss me I’m Irish” doesn’t prove anything. Casey also wore 4 leaf clovers as did a lot of her friends. It COULD mean her father was Irish, but then again, it could mean nothing.

I read somewhere on a blog a guy claiming to be Mark last year…swears he is not the father never had sex with Casey or even kissed her ect? hmmmm I also just read that appearantly the Ortiz family too ordered a paternity test to know for sure sometime and the result never made public? By her looks honestly I always thought based only on facial features that JP Chatt fellow looked the most like her. But I also have only read she met Ricardo after Caylee born….she seemed to sure like to hang out near JP a lot…with CAYLEE…….at Ricardo’s whom I believe she never had a strong interest in. Even in July 2008 she text messaged Amy saying JP was going to be at some party all excited or club..I know it has been said he had no interest in her.. but she may have had in him….could she felt he may have wanted her minus a child??I think Lazzaro was just a place to hang out at where he knew her so little he’d not be suspicious of anything??? Interesting that Tara Hawkins is not on the witness list as Cindy claimed Casey had quite a long phone chat with Tara? Just Mark and his testimony hush hush….George…. I find the Tara Hawkins connection very intriguing and also find it odd that she isn’t on the witness list.
I remember hearing about another guy that passed away in an accident, but don’t remember his name or the details–just that his wife and children lived in another state and that was supposed to be Caylee’s father.

I found out Ryan Pasley her childhood chum…(b&w photo) Jesus has different ear lobes and cleft chin…….but I have to say my jaw hit the floor when I saw that photo look at his and Caylee’s eyes…….they are identical……… both ‘wider set apart’ Caylee when in a photo right beside Casey has a child has a much wider face shape than casey who’s is narrower Caylee’s eyes wider set apart…. I was watching one day a legal show. they had a very interesting FBI guy on there….. he ‘hinted’ too that when asked about Lee’s test ect…. “it just shows who’s eliminated to me” he said……he was now retired I believe….but quite intersesting fellow….he too said rules for turning over discovery are quite different for the FBI than the prosecution ect….

Thanks for clearing up the Jesus/Ryan thing. I do think Caylee looks like the person in the black and white picture. She looks even more like JP Chatt, IMO, though by most accounts she met him after she had Caylee.

Casey met Josh O BArr through Mallory, which is Lee anthonys girlfriend. Josh has a myspace account that was left up even after his suicide. Mallory is in alot of his pics. Im telling you this is a fact. Casey knows its Josh but doesnt want Lee to know they slept together.
Christy–If you read about Josh above, his family says there is no way he could have had sex at the time Caylee was conceived. Why do you think otherwise?
His brother did an interview in which he says that he and josh attended a party around Christmas at which Casey and Lee and mallory were present. Josh and Casey left that party together. Joshs brother is will ing to give dna to test and has said he offered it to the police but no one replied to him. Yes, It was in a globe magazine. (i understand the stigma of a ragmag but joshs brother and even his dad said that the orange county police dept wont listen to them) I may still have the mag. the only reason i bought it is because of this story. If I still have it i will try to get some pics of the interview and email them to you. I agree with you about the similarities between caylee and J.P. Its remarkable. But I really think J.P. would have already admitted he slept with Casey by now. He is really close to alot of the key players in this case. Somebody, if not him, would have already verified that he slept with her if he had. Plus, I read that Casey and J.P. met AFTER Caylee was born……

Can’t imagine why the police wouldn’t let Josh’s brother take a dna test, if for no other reason than to eliminate Josh. Of course, who the father might be is really not a concern for the police now.

I think that Caylee looks a lot like Josh! I have known the O’barr family for over 15 years… its a shame that Josh is gone. 😦 I remember when my Step-mom called to tell me that he passed… I was devastated.
Oh and that accident that he got in 2 years before Caylee was born… my brother was with him. My brother walked away with a large cut in his arm which I am surprised about that since the van rolled a couple of times. They were coming home from the beach… I take it that they were surfing.
i remember clearly when Casey was talkin to her mom on the jail phone, she said something to the effect of ” Don’t worry, i didn’t tell them anything”…i like to knew exactly what she meant by that. Could it have something to do with a family secret…hmm! makes me wonder…was she referrin to Caylee’s dad, or does Cindy know how Caylee died, or was she talkin about her illness / venereal disease 1st stage syphilis..its obvious look at her lower back in the photo that was taken for evidence/tattoo….also she worked has an entertainer all right….she was a stripper and a escort. What I find interesting now is the the grandparents are requesting to be in the courtroom during trial because they are “next of kin” makes me wonder if they know the truth will come out in trial? Could this also be why George was so upset as to want to commit suicide? Just me wondering : )
As a mother of a young child this case has completely intrigued me! I’ve been listening to the jury selection over the past couple of days…
I felt she was guilty from the first time I saw the videos of her making purchases at Target – but not buying a thing for her daughter. Moms just DON’T do that. We always buy something related to our kids… Especially 2 trips in a row! She knew the little girl was already deceased.
I too think it’s odd that there is no information on the father… But I guess at this point it wouldn’t matter. He would be making a ton of money off this case – you know how many movies they’re going to make after the trial…???
I really think they should test CASEY’S father George to see if he is the father.. I honestly believe that he could be the father. I have been watching the trial since it came on TV and i think he is a liar. I do think he and CASEY had something to do with her dying. I do not think CASEY physically killed her child but i think george did. I think that Casey knew he was the father of her child and i think she said she was going to tell everyone and he said well i will solve that and do something with the child… but then after it was said and done i think CASEY flipped out bc then she didnt want people to know that he was the father bc then she would be a sick woman… so then she asked her dad how they could cover up her death since he was a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR!! My own personal thoughts and i hope who ever did do this goes to jail for the rest of there life. I do not think they should get the death penatly bc thats the easy way out and they wont have to suffer for the rest of there life…. I also dont think they should get the death penalty bc they will sit on it for 25-50 years before they kill them and waste our TAX PAYERS DOLLARS!!!

How about the possibility of Erick Baker. I didn’t see him mentioned and yet that was the name Cindy gave. She also said he was from TN. I found a musician named Erick Baker who went to college and graduated around 2005 (Cindy also said he was a couple years older than Case…this was in the interview with the Globe). He then got married (She said in the same interview that he was married) and started pursuing music. He didn’t have children until more recently, in 2009 he had a daughter named Anna Belle.

Maybe Cindy didn’t think it right her train wreck of a daughter disrupt such a decent young man and urged her not to, or maybe she threatened to sue him for child support and he and his family (sounds like $$ if you read about his bkgrd) threatened to sue for defamation or something…who knows, everything is just speculative in this case. Nothing seems terribly definitive…oh, except that Casey premeditated and killed her daughter.
Couple more notable items: His first album was self-released (funded by he and his family) in January 2008. Did Casey soon after find out about this and decide in a fit of jealousy to rid herself of her burdensome responsibilities as a parent thusly beginning her searches for chloroform in March of ’08? How about the title of his latest album “Holding the Pieces In Place” (with duct tape) It has songs like: Crazy (Casey), Unbroken Promise (Keep Your Mouth Shut about the dad), Who I Wanted To Be (Casey’s Alter Ego), Plastic Flowers (Don’t those go on a grave?). Don’t get me wrong, the guy is actually a very talented musician, but seems coincidental, and I am quickly learning the there is no coincidence in this trial.

Sorry! I just saw your post. I checked out your link, and while interesting, I’m thinking (if I remember correctly, which it may not) that the Eric Baker she was speaking of died. Sure are a lot of similarities though, so who knows if Casey was telling the truth when she said he died. I think Cindy said he was a candidate for father of Caylee. Maybe this Erick Baker is taking advantage of his name and writing songs about Casey to get attention? I don’t know.(And thanks, I’m glad to be back 😉

I’ve actually had second thoughts since posting that. Since the trial has started I’m sort of inclined to believe the poster above about Mark Hawkins. The whole Tara thing in the jailhouse conversations was bizarre to say the least. Can’t figure anything else out about it. And the whole “babies talking to each other on the phone”…wtf??!!
Since the trial has now started and the father issue doesn’t seem to be the topic at all, do you have any new theories or maybe old theories that you think deserve to revisited?

I agree Caylee does look like JP Chatt, however, that doesn’t mean a whole lot. Anybody who has ever had a child can tell you what their baby looked like the first 5 years of their life was not necessarily indicative of who they looked like or how they will end up looking. What I mean to say is, it is not so easy to tell paternity by sight…that’s why scientist don’t use that as a test. We can find similarities between JP’s look and Cindy’s look, and yet we know undoubtedly that they are not related. I agree that Caylee most closely resembled her mother and her maternal side of the family at the age she was lost (deceased). But she may have exposed more of her fathers traits as she aged, or she may not have. It was not JP, I feel sure to say. He did not know her in 2005, and it goes without saying that he was probably the only one of her many “friends” to have suspected that she was a “bad” person. It had been stated by everyone that he was not fond of her. If that would have been his child I doubt he would have been so passe about Casey.

Truth is, I bet Casey doesn’t even know who the father of Caylee is. I thought that perhaps someone who slept with her back in 2005 might have come forward after this case went viral but that obviously didn’t happen. My guess is that Caylee was the result of a one night stand.
I think that Caylee Anthony looks like Josh O’Barr. I hope that she is visiting her dad up in heaven… or if her dad is down here she’ll see him someday soon. RIP Precious Little Caylee Anthony. No child should be murdered by a parent in such a violent way. I hope Casey Anthony gets what is coming to her by the court system.

George was definitely ruled out in court the other day too…they said he and Lee were …both tested and eliminated under oath.
As a portrait artist I can tell you through 35 years of experience that the only man’s photo I matched up was Mark Hawkins. The slant of the eyes are identical. Eye color of course plays a part but the shape of the head is vital in comparing faces as in siblings. I paint portraits of people who are deceased, for the family, and I paint by photos since they are no longer able to sit for portraits. Many times I will have maybe just a black and white faded photo to go by and then I have to include other family photos in order to do a good likeness. I know what I see here with the Hawkins fellow.
Believe me, Mark Hawkins is 99.9 % in my opinion the true father. The fact that Ms Anthony tried numerous time to “tell him something that only her family knew” during the 31 days makes my guess even more real.

With all the wired family stories of the Anthonys, I would not be surprised if Caylee was a product of incest either by Casey fooling around with brother Lee (cay – lee??) or by one of the molestations by father George being productive!!
